Ridgeback Alex Pinot Noir 2008

Ridgeback Alex is a lighter style Pinot Noir which will drink well for 3 years.

This wine was name after the Medlicott family's Ridgeback/cross SPCA "pound puppy" Alexander (1990 - 2004). His rocky cairn lies on a small ridge overlooking the back block of the vineyard. On his plaque is a quote from Lord Byron:

"The poor dog, in life the firmest friend,
the first to welcome, foremost to defend,
whose honest heart is still his master's own,
who labours, fights, lives, breathes, for him alone."
